The Artist in Paris…or, Twenties style

One of my favourite movies this year was Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris.” I’m not typically a big fan of Allen, but I love Rachel McAdams (even when she’s playing a huge bitch) I love the twenties, and I loved all the literary references, especially Corey Stoll as Hemingway. This past weekend Steph saw and loved “The Artist.” Both the Armani and Ralph Lauren collections show influces from this golden era,so of course we’ve been wondering how can we work some of the great looks of the twenties into our wardrobes today.

1920's

Dropped waists and cloche hats are the most obvious ways to work 20’s elements into your wardrobe. For a more subtle homage to the decade try smoky colours, heavy beading and long strings of pearls.

If you could what fashion era would you return to, or just add elements from to your current wardrobe?
